Learning remotely

Principal's Message

To stay up to date and informed for your child’s learning at home, we will provide work through this landing page. Below you will find links to both the Department of Education and specific KSPS Learning at Home resources. You may wish to complete these activities on a notepad or an exercise book you have at home. Some children may wish to use word processing for recording their work. The ‘HOW TO’ is up to you as the parent. As I stated on Facebook on Sunday evening 22nd March 2020, student and parent wellbeing is our main priority. If in anyway this work cause distress, please don’t do it! I ask parents to be discerning about the work load and stresses that you place on yourself and your children during this time.

If information regarding school work is required for your child, it will appear on this landing page only. I will send out a Skoolbag notification if I change/update this page. Please be sure to subscribe to the stage and year child / children are in so as you get the correct notifications. Please do not be coerced by external providers who may offer “home schooling” activities. Your child’s class teachers are the best source of learning for your children, that is why they are preparing this work for them.

Please remember in this time of social isolating, we are all working towards the goal of defeating COVID19. This is our priority in the coming weeks and months ahead.

The online learning platform present many challenges; however, our children and teachers are adaptable, the have learnt to improvise and overcome these challenges. At any time, I encourage you to make contact with the school via phone 49575319 or via our email at:kotarasth-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au

Together, the staff and myself will make calm and informed decisions that will help our student’s learning in the long term. Anything we do, will be sustainable, purposeful and teacher developed.

Thank you for your ongoing support in this time of change. Working together, we will come through this.

Stay well, stay calm, stay informed.

Yours Sincerely,

Sue Maxworthy

Principal

Learning remotely without technology

We understand some students do not have access to a device or internet for online learning. Contact the school to discuss non-digital learning from home options for your child.
